Magnifiers.com and VIFGA.org will be at the Disability Connections Open House and ADA Celebration Expo
Come visit the Magnifiers.com and the Vifga.org booth displaying the Talking Optelec ClearView C Video Magnifier and introducing the OrCam Head-Born Reader at the Disability Connections Open House and ADA Celebration Expo. The event is Friday, April 22 form 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Saturday, April 23 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Here’s what to expect:
- Friday, April 22nd – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Tours will be given of DC’s newly renovated and accessible facility which includes our new showroom displaying some of the latest assistive technology
- Mark Johnson – Disability Civil Rights and ADA Advocate – Book Signing: “I Love Today: A Story of Transformation” 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Technology Vendor Exhibits will be displaying their latest products
- Resource Providers will be sharing their information and services
- Signup for Independent Living classes on Breaking Down Barriers, Budgeting,Nutrition, Managing Attendant Care
- Applications available for future employment, ADA internships and volunteer surveyors
- Saturday, April 23rd – 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Technology and Resource Vendors will be on display
- Angry Birds Contest (Think you’re good, only one rule…do it with one switch) – Kids and Adults
- Makin’ Funny Faces – Activity for Kids
